This 3D-printed resin detail set from Reskit holds one centerline fuel tank of the early version with a capacity of 600 gallons in the all welded form, together with a pylon, in 1:72 scale. It replaces or completes the external load of F-4 Phantom II models. It is a separate accessory, not an aircraft model.
The heavy F-4 Phantom II fighter carried a large fuel tank under the fuselage to extend its range. The early tanks existed in several structural variants; this one matches the all welded type with a smoother surface and without pronounced joint strips. The faithful shape sharpens the underside configuration of the model.
Wash the part in lukewarm soapy water to remove any uncured print resin residue. Cut off the print supports and sand the area gently with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Use a filler primer before painting and match the shade to the underside of the model. Take care that the pylon seats precisely.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package. The package holds one tank.
