Messerschmitt Me 262B-1a/U1, 1:72 (Smer) is a plastic kit of the two-seat night-fighter version of the first jet aircraft deployed in combat.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German jet aircraft Messerschmitt Me 262 in the two-seat night-fighter version B-1a/U1 in 1:72 scale from manufacturer Smer. It is a classic kit suited to a wide range of modelers.
The Me 262 was the first jet fighter deployed in combat. The two-seat B-1a/U1 version was created by converting a trainer into a night fighter: it received a radar antenna array in the nose for night interceptions, which took up space otherwise used for fuel. Its identifying features are precisely the forward antenna array of the night radar and the second seat for the radar operator.
Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement. On older toolings, it pays to dry-fit the parts and clean up the mating surfaces. Apply a primer before painting; Luftwaffe night fighters usually carried darker overpainted schemes, which are best applied with an airbrush. Fit the radar antenna array only at the end of the build so it doesn't break off.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
