This is NOT an aircraft kit but a detail accessory. It is a set of cast resin wheels intended for models of the Soviet MiG-23 fighter in 1:72 scale, specifically for the two-seat UB version and the single-seat S, MS, MF and M versions. It replaces the wheels supplied in the plastic kit and takes the realism of the landing gear a level higher.
Resin wheels are usually cast more crisply than production plastic parts and faithfully capture both the tire tread and the structure of the hubs. Casting in resin makes it possible to achieve fine details that are hard to reproduce in injection-molded plastic. The result is a more convincing impression of the machine settling onto the ground.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent to remove the remains of mold release agent. Cut off the casting blocks carefully with a saw or a cutter and sand the faces; protect your airways when sanding resin. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting, and the hubs and the tires can then easily be distinguished with different shades and gentle highlighting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
