Amodel 1:72 Mil Mi-6 (late version) is an injection-molded plastic kit of the large Soviet heavy transport helicopter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the maker Amodel captures the large Soviet heavy transport helicopter Mi-6 in the late version. The package holds plastic as well as clear parts and a decal sheet with several marking options. Given the dimensions of the subject it is a large model; as a short-run kit it calls for a more careful approach and rather a more experienced hand.
The Mi-6 was in its day one of the largest and most powerful helicopters in the world and it appeared in series production at the beginning of the 1960s. During the trials it set a number of world records and became the backbone of Soviet heavy helicopter transport. Characteristic of it are the small auxiliary wings that unload the main rotor in flight. It served in many military as well as civil roles.
With a short-run kit, count on cleaning the parts up and on a trial fit before gluing; glue the joints with a thin cement for plastic and fill and sand the larger seams down. Lay the large areas of the fuselage down with an airbrush over a thin base. Mask the glazing of the pilot's cabin and glue it on at the very end. Apply the decals over a gloss clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
