Martin-Baker Mk.4 ejection seat for the Mirage IIIC in 1:72 from CMK. A finely detailed resin seat with photo-etched additions.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detailed resin Martin-Baker Mk.4 ejection seat for the French Mirage IIIC fighter in 1:72 scale from CMK. The set usually completes the cast body of the seat with fine photo-etched parts (belts, handles, small fittings), so it markedly lifts the detail of the cockpit compared with the simplified plastic seat from the kit.
The Martin-Baker Mk.4 was a widespread British ejection seat used in a number of jet aircraft. In the cockpit of the Mirage IIIC it is well visible with the canopy open, so rendering it faithfully shows noticeably in the result.
Wash the body of the seat to remove mold release, cut off the casting block and clean it up. Glue both the resin and the photo-etched parts with super glue. Lay the base color over a primer, set the belts and handles apart in contrasting shades and bring out the details with a wash and dry brushing.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
