An injection-molded plastic kit of the advanced North American NAA-64 trainer in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer RS models. It is a short-run set with finely engraved detail and a clear canopy. The kit is supplied as a set of plastic parts, which have to be cleaned up and glued before the build.
The NAA-64 (known in Canadian service as the Yale) was a single-engine low-wing monoplane for advanced pilot training, derived from the family of American trainers. France ordered it before 1940; after the fall of France some of the delivered machines were taken over and used as trainers by the Luftwaffe as well. It also flew with the Royal Canadian Air Force, where it served to train crews.
With a short-run kit it pays to dry-fit the parts and tune the joints. Glue with thin cement for plastic, and mask the clear canopy and spray it separately. The base is a primer and an even coat with an airbrush; bring out the panel lines with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
