It is an injection-molded plastic model in gray plastic with clear parts for the cockpit; decals are included in the package. The model has a simple structure and a lower part count, so it is a good choice for less experienced modelers as well. Glue, paints and accessories are not included.
The F-5A Freedom Fighter is the single-seat version of the successful Northrop family of light fighters, powered by a pair of jet engines. It was created as a low-cost supersonic fighter intended above all for allied air forces and was used in many countries around the world. It is distinguished by a slender fuselage, small sharp wings and good agility.
With an older, simpler tool it pays to clean up any flash, dry-fit the parts carefully and fill the joints where needed. Glue with thin cement for plastic, treat the base with primer and apply the paint with an airbrush for an even coat. Apply gloss varnish before the decals, and once dry a matte overcoat will unify the surface.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
