An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from Arma Hobby brings a modern rendering of the American fighter Bell P-39Q Airacobra. The set from a modern tooling offers fine surface detail, a well-worked cockpit, masks for the canopy glazing and the wheels, metal nose weights against sitting back on the tail, and decals for several color schemes. It is a precise, well-fitting kit popular among modelers.
The Bell P-39 Airacobra was an American fighter with an unconventional layout, its engine behind the pilot and a nosewheel. The P-39Q version was among the most widespread and carried armament in the nose and under the wings. The machine made a marked mark on the Eastern Front, where the Soviet Air Force operated it in large numbers, but American and other units flew it as well.
Apply thin cement sparingly and test the joints dry. Do not forget to fit the weights supplied in the nose. The masks supplied make clean painting of the glazing easier. Use an airbrush for even coats and apply the decals onto a gloss base. Finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
