Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded (short-run) plastic kit of the French experimental aircraft Payen Pa 22/2 in 1:72 scale from RS Models. The kit is complemented by several cast resin details and a clear canopy. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted; for the contents of the package and the number of finish options, go by the enclosed instructions.
The Payen Pa.22 was a French experimental aircraft by the designer Nicolas-Roland Payen from the late 1930s, designed with an unconventional tandem, almost delta arrangement of the lifting surfaces. It was originally created for an air competition and represented a very advanced aerodynamic concept for its time. The unfinished prototype fell into German hands during the Second World War, and the Germans continued the trials with it and first flew it in the early 1940s.
A short-run kit calls for more careful preparation of the parts – sand off the flash and dry-fit them before you start gluing. Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent residue, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue. Finish the cockpit before you close the fuselage and mask the clear canopy before spraying. Spray the base over a primer and use an airbrush for the smooth surfaces of this unconventional airframe.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
