PBM-5 Mariner engine cowlings 1:72 is a resin detail set from Plusmodel with cowlings for both engines and two types of cooling flaps, for a model of the Martin PBM-5 Mariner flying boat.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set of engine cowlings for a model of the twin-engine Martin PBM-5 Mariner patrol flying boat in 1:72 scale. The set holds cowlings for both engines and two types of cooling flaps, open as well as closed, so the position can be chosen according to the rendering. This is an accessory replacing the production parts, not a kit of an aircraft.
The PBM Mariner was an American naval patrol and rescue flying boat of the period of the Second World War and of postwar service. Faithfully shaped cowlings with fine surface detail improve the look of the engine section compared with an ordinary kit. Fitting them does not call for fundamental reworking of the original model. The set is intended for models of this type in 1:72 scale.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut the casting blocks off and clean them up. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding and apply a primer before painting.
The set is an accessory, not a model in its own right. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
