A resin detail accessory from the Czech maker CMK for a model of the American PT-109 torpedo boat in 1:72 scale. The set adds finely cast deck elements, a smoke generator and ventilation funnels, which raise the fidelity of the deck compared with the basic kit.
PT-109 was an eighty-foot Elco-type patrol torpedo boat. The stern smoke generator served to lay a smoke screen and the ventilation funnels carried heat away from the engine room; both were part of the characteristic equipment of the deck.
Wash the mold release off the parts, separate the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Bring out the openings of the funnels with a dark wash and the metal surfaces of the smoke generator with a dry brush.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
