A resin detail accessory from the Czech maker CMK for a model of the American PT-109 torpedo boat in 1:72 scale. The set holds two finely cast Mk.6 depth charges, which complete the deck armament of a model.
PT-109 was an eighty-foot Elco-type patrol torpedo boat. Besides torpedoes these boats also carried depth charges against submarines; the Mk.6 charge was part of the typical American equipment of the Second World War.
Wash the mold release off the parts, separate the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The cylindrical shape of the charges comes out nicely with an even coat from an airbrush and light emphasis on the bands.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
