A plastic kit of the German Panther tank in the Ausf. G version in 1:72 scale from Italeri. The box contains two identical models in the Fast Assembly form - the parts are simplified and laid out for a quick build with a small part count, so the set suits beginners as well as tabletop wargamers who need to build several vehicles at once. A decal sheet for finishing the models is included.
The Panther is one of the best-known tanks of the Second World War. It was created in answer to the Soviet T-34 and combined a powerful long 7.5 cm gun, sloped armor and good mobility. The Ausf. G version was the last large-series variant - it had a reworked, simpler hull with flat sides and a range of production simplifications. The German army committed Ausf. G Panthers on every front in the last two years of the war, from Normandy to the fighting in the east.
Although this is a quick build, glue the joints with cement for plastic for strength. Paint the running gear and the wheels before you cover them with the fenders. For the late-war look a three-color camouflage sprayed with an airbrush works well, followed by a unifying filter and washes into the recesses. Create dust and dried mud on the running gear with pigments. The two models in the box can be finished in different schemes.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
