Reskit R-98 MR/MT missiles 1:72 is a set of two resin (3D-printed) Soviet air-to-air guided missiles in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft model but underwing armament - an accessory for models of Soviet interceptors.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set from Reskit is an accessory, not a model kit. It contains two R-98 air-to-air guided missiles in 1:72 scale, made of resin by modern 3D printing technology. The package is conceived as a pair in two forms: the R-98MR version with semi-active radar guidance and the R-98MT version with an infrared homing head. That is exactly how the missiles were carried in reality, as a radar and a heat-seeking pair. The missiles are meant to be hung under models of Soviet interceptors; the base model is obtained separately.
The R-98 was a heavy Soviet medium-range air-to-air missile developed from the K-8 family and used in the Cold War by air defense units. It was the main armament of the Sukhoi Su-15 and Yakovlev Yak-28P interceptors, whose task was to catch a target directed from a ground station. The external difference between the versions is mainly at the front: the radar MR carries a bulkier rounded antenna cover, while the heat-seeking MT has the characteristic transparent seeker head.
This is an accessory, underwing armament rather than an aircraft model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
