1:72 Rasensteine - German Airfield Pavers Large (c.25 x 16 cm)

Rasensteine display base - airfield pavers 1:72, large format (Uschi van der Rosten)

A large-format printed photorealistic display base in 1:72 scale from the German maker Uschi van der Rosten. It captures the Rasensteine, or grass pavers: concrete slabs with regular openings through which the grass grew. During the Second World War they reinforced the taxiways and parking areas of German airfields and spread to a number of places across Europe. The approximate size of the large version is around 25x16 cm, so it will also serve under a bigger model or a longer diorama.

Use

• A base for a finished aircraft model in 1:72 scale.
• A foundation for an airfield diorama with a taxiway or parking area.
• An effective backdrop for a display case and for photographing models.

Who it is for

• Modelers of Luftwaffe aircraft in 1:72 scale.
• Builders of larger-format airfield dioramas.
• Collectors who want to display a model in a period setting.

This is a presentation accessory, not an aircraft kit. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
