Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Italian aircraft Reggiane Re.2002 Ariete in 1:72 scale from Italeri. The model is supplied as an unassembled set of parts with a decal sheet; according to the manufacturer, it offers markings for several versions. It is a newer release with reworked parts and fine surface engraving.
The Re.2002 Ariete (Ram) was an Italian single-seat fighter-bomber developed from the airframe of an earlier Reggiane fighter. It received a more powerful engine and stronger armament — besides machine guns in the forward fuselage, it carried additional machine guns in the wings and could carry a bomb load. It served with the Italian Air Force (Regia Aeronautica) and is one of the lesser-known, elegant Italian aircraft that collectors of Italian technology take an interest in.
Glue with thin liquid cement for plastic, which wicks into the seams. Finish and paint the cockpit first, then close up the fuselage. Mask the clear canopy before spraying. We recommend a primer coat and an airbrush, or a quality brush. For an authentic look, follow a period-correct Italian camouflage scheme — check the exact shades in the instructions. Highlight the panel lines with a light wash, and add exhaust stains and light grime. Apply the decals over a smooth, glossy coat to avoid a silvering effect.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
