A plastic kit of the Reggiane Re.2006 in 1:72 scale from RS Models: the Italian fighter project of the late Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Italian Reggiane Re.2006 fighter in 1:72 scale from RS Models. The model has engraved panel lines, a broken-down cockpit interior with a separate instrument panel and clear canopy parts. It is a short-run tool with a smaller number of parts, where careful cleanup and fitting pay off.
The Re.2006 was the culmination of the Reggiane line of Italian fighters. The plan was to fit the powerful liquid-cooled DB 603 engine into an airframe derived from the Re.2005. Prototypes were started, but the aircraft never entered combat during the war and full deployment never came. The subject is therefore one of the interesting projects of the late Italian fighter school that were never finished in their day.
With a short-run tool, remove the flash, clean up the mating surfaces and glue the joints with liquid cement for plastic; fill and sand any small gaps. Finish and paint the cockpit before closing the fuselage, and mask the glazing. Paint the surfaces with an airbrush after a coat of primer, and a light panel wash will bring out the engraved lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
