The plastic kit Trumpeter T-62 ERA Mod.1972 (1:72) - the Soviet medium tank fitted with Kontakt-1 reactive armor.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet T-62 medium tank in the Mod.1972 version with reactive armor (ERA) in 1:72 scale from the brand Trumpeter. The model captures the tank with blocks of reactive protection on the turret, the hull front and the sides, and offers fine detail and link-and-length tracks even in the smaller scale.
The T-62 was a Soviet medium tank that grew out of the proven T-55 but received a lengthened hull and a new turret with a 115 mm smoothbore gun. The versions designated T-62MV were later fitted with Kontakt-1 reactive armor - blocks with an explosive charge, which considerably raised resistance against shaped-charge ammunition. This modernization extended the combat service of the tank by a number of years.
In 1:72 scale take care to clean the small parts and the ERA blocks up properly. Assemble the running gear and the tracks before painting. A primer, an airbrush and single-color or camouflage schemes work well. The blocks of reactive armor come into their own once the edges are picked out with a dry brush; washes into the joints and pigments on the running gear give the model realistic weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
