An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern Russian Yakovlev Yak-130 trainer in 1:72 scale from Zvezda. A kit to glue and paint, it offers a cleanly engraved surface and will appeal to followers of contemporary military hardware. It is a rewarding subject with a distinctive airframe shape and a pair of vertical tails, and it can be built in several color schemes according to the markings enclosed.
The Yak-130 is a two-seat jet trainer of the new generation intended for training pilots of modern fourth and fifth generation combat aircraft. Thanks to digital controls and the ability to imitate the behavior of various types of aircraft it serves for advanced training, and at the same time it can be used as a light ground-attack and combat aircraft with external stores. It is used by the Russian Air Force and by other operators; the kit includes, for example, schemes for Russian and Belarusian machines.
First assemble and paint the cockpit, and only then close the fuselage. Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement, sand the seams and spray the surface with a primer. The modern jet scheme stands out when sprayed with an airbrush. Apply the decals over a gloss clear coat so that no whitish silvering appears, and unify the whole with a final matte or semi-gloss clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
