The real subject

The S-25 is a heavy unguided rocket of large caliber (of the order of 340 mm) in a single-use launch tube (the PU designation), intended against ground and hardened targets. Its large warhead and range let an aircraft strike a target from a safer distance. The OFM version carries a high-explosive fragmentation warhead aimed at tougher and hardened targets. That is how it differs from the S-25-O variant, which has a different warhead; both versions are made, so if you need the other rendering, choose that one. Unlike a small guided air-to-air missile (the R-60) or a pod holding a number of small rockets (the UB-32), this is a single large rocket against hard targets.

Building and painting tips

Wash the parts to remove print resin residue and carefully cut them from the print supports. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate, CA), as cement for plastic does not hold on resin. Sand with respiratory protection. Apply a primer and paint with an airbrush; the large tube comes out well after the edges are gently brought out and a light weathering is added according to period photographs.
