An injection-molded plastic kit of the Chinese supersonic Shenyang J-6/F-6 fighter in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Smer. The set contains plastic parts, clear canopy glazing and a decal sheet. The real subject is the Chinese license-built variant of the Soviet MiG-19, so the model shares the basic airframe shape with that type.
The Shenyang J-6 was the Chinese license-built copy of the Soviet MiG-19 fighter, produced in large numbers from the end of the 1950s. In the version for the home air force it carried the designation J-6, while export machines were sold as the F-6. This twin-engine supersonic fighter with built-in cannon served for decades with the People's Liberation Army Air Force and with a number of foreign users and became one of the most widespread machines of its class.
Fill and sand the joints on the fuselage and the leading edges carefully. We recommend thin cement for plastic, a primer and an airbrush; you will achieve the metallic look of the airframe with metallic paints over a smooth surface, and lay down a gloss coat before the decals. Bring the cockpit to life with belts and an instrument panel.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
