The model is made of injection-molded plastic and represents the version with the characteristic cast, rounded hull. The package contains parts, decals and instructions; the exact contents and the markings depend on the particular release.
The M4 Sherman was the most widespread American medium tank of the Second World War and in tens of thousands of examples it served with the Allies as well under Lend-Lease deliveries. The M4A1 version differs from the others in its one-piece cast hull with rounded shapes instead of a welded one. The standard armament consisted of a 75mm gun in a rotating turret supplemented by machine guns. The Sherman excelled in reliability, ease of maintenance and the availability of spare parts, thanks to which it became the backbone of the armored units on the Western and the Pacific front alike.
Glue the parts with a thin modeling cement for plastic and sand the hull joints carefully. A base coat of primer and airbrushing work well, and in the small scale it is better to choose subtle shades. Finish and paint the tracks and the running gear before closing up the hull. The final weathering comes from a wash into the recesses and pigments for mud and dust effects on the chassis.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
