The Spitfire Mk.IX came about as an answer to the arrival of the German Fw 190. A more powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin with a two-stage supercharger was installed in the proven Spitfire airframe, which gave the fighter back its advantage at altitude. The early versions kept some features of the older marks and the type became one of the most widespread in the RAF during the Second World War.
Use liquid modeling cement on the plastic parts. Apply a primer before painting, spray the shades with an airbrush wherever possible and mask the camouflage transitions. A thin wash will bring out the engraved panel lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
