TB.2 UAV Ukrainian Navy is a kit of the Turkish Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicle in Ukrainian naval markings, 1:72 scale, manufacturer Clear Prop Models.
Responsibility details are not available.
The kit captures the armed Bayraktar TB.2 unmanned aerial vehicle in the markings of the Ukrainian Navy. The 1:72 scale is comfortable for this type: thanks to the large wing span the model is still of decent size and yet fits easily into a display case among other contemporary equipment.
The TB.2 is a Turkish medium-altitude long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicle from the Baykar company. Characteristic of it are a thin wing of large span, a pair of tail booms with an inverted arrangement of the tail surfaces and a pusher propeller driven by a piston engine. In the forward fuselage it carries a stabilized electro-optical turret and under the wing light precision munitions. Ukraine acquired the TB.2 from 2019; both the ground forces and the navy operated them and the machines became one of the best-known symbols of the use of unmanned equipment in Europe. It is a type that made its name in its class thanks to the balance between its capabilities and its cost.
The most sensitive part is the coaxial seating of both tail booms and the straight gluing of the tail surfaces, so dry-fit the whole assembly and glue it on a flat surface. Strengthen the thin wing of large span at the joint and sand carefully. Match the choice of glue to the material of the parts. Single-color light schemes on unmanned vehicles reveal every irregularity, so a base coat and gradual layering of the shade pay off. Keep the weathering restrained; machines in service tend to be fairly clean.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
