An injection-molded plastic kit of the British strike version of the Panavia Tornado multi-role aircraft in 1:72 scale from the Italian manufacturer Italeri. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the cockpit, landing gear, engine nacelles and external stores are made up of plastic parts that are glued and then painted. Check the exact set of decal schemes and the equipment of a particular edition against the enclosed instructions.
The Panavia Tornado GR.1 was a two-seat strike and reconnaissance aircraft with a swing wing that came about as a joint European project of Great Britain, Germany and Italy. It was powered by a pair of jet engines and specialized in low-level penetration and all-weather attacks. In the GR.1 version it served with the Royal Air Force and became known for its deployment in the Gulf War in the early 1990s.
Glue the plastic parts with thin modeling cement for plastic and sand the joints once they have dried. Apply a primer before painting and spray the camouflage scheme with an airbrush in layers. Glue the clear cockpit parts with canopy glue so that they do not fog. Fit the external stores and tanks according to the scheme you choose.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
