An injection-molded plastic kit of the Unimog U1300L 4x4 cross-country truck in the Krankenwagen version, that is as an ambulance, in 1:72 scale from the maker ACE. The package holds parts in gray plastic, clear glazing, a photo-etched fret and decals. The model captures the characteristic box body of a field ambulance.
The Unimog U1300L was a robust cross-country vehicle of the 435 range, produced from the middle of the 1970s. The Bundeswehr and other services used it in many variants, among them as a field ambulance with a box body for carrying the wounded. All-wheel drive and high mobility made it a proven vehicle in demanding terrain.
Pay attention to the assembly of the chassis and the frame, where it pays to follow the instructions carefully. Glue the photo-etched parts with superglue and the plastic ones with liquid cement for plastic. Treat the base with a primer, apply the base color with an airbrush and complete the underside of the vehicle with mud and dust effects using washes and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
