The Type B bus of the First World War (1:72) is a plastic kit of the historic London omnibus in army service, from the brand Roden.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale captures the London double-decker Type B omnibus as it appeared in the First World War. The Roden model offers a richly broken-down body, a detailed chassis and decals for the markings of the period. It is an unconventional historic vehicle that will liven up any display case or Great War diorama.
The Type B was the classic London double-decker bus operated by the London General Omnibus Company. In the First World War hundreds of these vehicles were requisitioned and sent to the front in France, where they carried troops and served as ambulances or mobile workshops. In civilian service it took dozens of passengers; in military service it carried fully equipped soldiers.
Finish and paint the interior and the chassis before closing the body. The fine parts and the wheel spokes call for careful cleaning up. Vehicles of the period will take restrained weathering, with dust and mud on the lower areas. Lay the decals on a gloss coat and even the surface out with a matte coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
