The Airscale instrument superset Royal Air Force / US Army Air Forces / Luftwaffe 1:72 is an extended set of colored instrument decals for the cockpits of British, American and German aircraft of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This superset is a rich set of colored decals of instrument dials (not an aircraft model) intended for cockpits in the small 1:72 scale. Airscale is a British brand focused on cockpit accessories. The set brings together motifs for British (Royal Air Force), American (US Army Air Forces) and German (Luftwaffe) aircraft of the Second World War on one sheet, so it will cover most of the common kits of that era.
The sheet carries a large number of faithfully printed dials of typical instruments, such as altimeters, airspeed indicators, artificial horizons, tachometers, engine instruments and navigation indicators. Because of the small scale the motifs are tiny, yet they keep the legible graphics of an instrument panel.
First paint the instrument panel with a matte dark color. Punch or closely cut out the individual dials, place them on the positions of the instruments and fix them with a softener. A drop of gloss varnish on each dial imitates the glass of the instrument. The set goes well with the photo-etched instrument bezels from the same brand.
The accessory is supplied as a sheet of decals; it is not an aircraft model. Paints, varnish and a kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
