The set contains two 3D-printed resin ZB-500 incendiary (napalm) tanks in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft kit; it is an accessory, a store for a model of Soviet and Russian attack aircraft, above all the Su-25 Frogfoot. The universal rendering for all kits replaces or complements the coarser stores from the original kit. The tanks are cut from the print supports and bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
The ZB-500 is a Soviet incendiary (napalm) tank of roughly the 500 kg weight class. Unlike a high-explosive bomb it holds no explosive but an incendiary mixture of the napalm type; on impact the mixture sprays out and starts a wide-area fire. The thin-walled tank follows the shape of a drop tank and is carried by attack and tactical aircraft of the Su family. It serves against area ground targets, equipment and fortifications.
Before gluing, wash the parts to remove print resin residue, carefully cut them from the print supports and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection, as resin dust must not be inhaled. Bond them only with super glue, because ordinary cement for plastic does not hold on resin. The tanks are seated on the wing or fuselage pylons. A primer and a shade matching the particular subject suit the painting.
This is an add-on resin set, not an aircraft model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, pylons and the base kit are not included in the package.
