Turnbuckles 6.5 mm are 3D-printed resin turnbuckles from Firma49 for faithful rigging on aircraft models.
Responsibility details are not available.
These are 3D-printed resin turnbuckles from Firma49, not a model in their own right. One turnbuckle is 6.5 mm long. They serve to render rigging and bracing realistically, above all the kind typical of biplanes and older aircraft. There is a good number of them in the package, so they last for a whole model.
Turnbuckles are small connecting fittings that on the real aircraft tensioned the steel wires between the wings and the fuselage. On a model they look very convincing when they finish off rigging run from stretched sprue, fishing line or wire.
Carefully separate the parts from the supports and clean them up; resin can be softened briefly in hot water before cutting or drilling so that it does not chip, and it hardens again once it cools. It is bonded with super glue and takes ordinary modeling paints easily. We recommend fine tools and good lighting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and wire are not included in the package.
