A set of six mating plugs and six sockets that join the wires of lighting in a model so that they can be separated at any time. They sound like a small thing, but when building a lit diorama it is precisely these that decide whether a model can be taken apart and repaired or whether it is permanently joined by a single bundle of wires.
Plan the wiring before you close the model up: a connector belongs where a hand can reach, not in the middle of a glued structure. The plug and the socket determine the polarity, so when wiring watch which conductor is which, or after disconnecting and reconnecting the circuit may reverse and the LEDs will not light. Relieve the strain on the wires at the connector, as the pull should not go onto the joint. If you are building several circuits it pays to tell them apart with a mark or a color, as after a few months you will no longer know from memory which is which.
