Vallejo Mecha Color Rust Texture (Matt)

This texture effect paint from the Mecha Color range serves to create a raised, rough matte rust surface. It is a water-thinnable acrylic with a thicker, grainy consistency, supplied in a 17 ml bottle with a dropper, non-toxic and odorless. Unlike liquid washes it leaves a genuine relief texture that, on vehicles and mecha models, imitates flaked corroded steel and coarse rust deposits.

Use

• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use.
• Apply it with a brush or a sponge where coarse raised rust should appear (edges, joints, lower surfaces).
• Once dry, the texture can be toned with washes and pigments for depth of color.
• It thins and the tools clean up with water; it dries quickly to a matte finish.
