75mm Base with columns is a resin casting with an architectural element, built to go under large-format figures.
Responsibility details are not available.
According to the name the resin casting has a footprint of 5x5 cm and is built for figures in the 75 mm format. Besides the surface itself it carries an architectural element, namely columns that add height and frame the figure. It is supplied without paints, so finishing it includes both the undercoat and the final shade.
A column is a shorthand the viewer understands at once: it suggests a palace, a temple, a town hall or at least a better sort of house without your having to build a whole building. With large figures that is doubly useful, because the figure itself already carries so much detail that an extensive setting would compete with it for attention. The base therefore suits historical as well as fantasy subjects and does not tie you to one period.
Stone and plaster will take plenty: an undercoat in gray, then glazes in ocher and brownish tones and finally a dry brush on the edges. Marble veining is painted with a thin brush over a dried light undercoat and blended immediately, so that it does not stay sharp. It is customary to bring the lower part of the base together with a dark shade or with the wooden plinth the whole thing stands on. Leave the columns a shade lighter than the surface beneath them, so that the figure reads clearly against them. Dust and grime belong in the lower third only; higher up they would look out of place.
