A transparent green from the Gunze Acrysion acrylic line. A color filter for glass, optics, coolants and clear parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
Real glass has no color of its own; it is the thickness and an admixture in the melt that give it one. A modeler reaches the same impression with a color filter, tinting a clear part with it: light passes through the coat, some of it is absorbed and the rest comes back green. The more coats, the darker and denser the result.
The shade finds use on the starboard navigation lights of aircraft, on the signal lamps of ships, on the covers of radar and instrument screens, on canopy glazing with a greenish tint and on imitations of coolant and oil fills in clear reservoirs. It also serves well for tinting the clear parts of robot models.
Both water and the thinner supplied under the name Acrysion Thinner will thin it, and Acrysion Tool Cleaner handles the cleaning of the tools. With translucent shades it is advisable to set a lower pressure and to spray from a greater distance, because a strong stream stirs a drop up on the surface and once dry it stays there as a darker dot.
Anyone building lit-up lights puts a silver or chrome coat under the filter. Anyone who needs dark unlit glass instead lays the filter straight onto black. Between those two extremes lies a whole range and it can be gone through without having to buy another bottle.
