Masks for the Messerschmitt Me 410 A-1 in the U2 and U4 versions in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer New Ware. Masks of paper masking tape; this is not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a masking set, not a model. The masks are cut from Japanese-type paper masking tape, which is notable for holding well while leaving no adhesive residue behind and not tearing off fresh varnish when removed. That is decisive on glazing. The Me 410 has a cockpit that makes masking particularly awkward: the glazed section is long, it runs along the whole forward fuselage spine and it has a great many frames. Cutting by hand would take hours and the edges would not come out even.
The Messerschmitt Me 410 was a German twin-engine combat aircraft that followed on from an unsuccessful earlier type and cured its handling problems. It served as a heavy fighter and a fast bomber. The U2 and U4 designations denoted factory kits for changing the armament: various combinations of guns in the nose, among them a heavy cannon intended against bombers.
The set is for modelers of the Luftwaffe who want sharp frames on a long cockpit without laborious tape cutting. The set is cut to the shape of the parts of a particular kit, so make sure it matches yours.
This is not a model. The kit, paints and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
