About product

Fine Art 0.2 mm airbrush

A dual-action modeling airbrush airbrush with a gravity-feed cup on top. The very fine nozzle of approximately 0.2 mm is intended for detail work: thin lines, shading, misting and soft camouflage transitions on models. The cup has a capacity of 9 ml and a lid to stop paint spilling, and the air connection has a 1/8 inch thread. Made by Fine Art.

Use

  • Always thin the paint to the consistency of milk, because a fine 0.2 mm nozzle clogs easily with thick paint.
  • Keep the working pressure roughly between 1 and 3.5 bar; lower pressure and spraying closer in give finer lines.
  • Dual-action trigger: pressing down releases the air, pulling back adds paint, so you control both width and density smoothly.
  • After every painting session, flush the gun with a suitable thinner or cleaner; clean the needle and the nozzle carefully.
  • Use it with compressed air from a compressor with pressure regulation and a water trap.

Who it is for

For modelers who want to master fine techniques: preshading, shading, camouflage and details. A fine nozzle is better suited to precise detail work; for large base areas a wider nozzle is the better choice.

Always ventilate well and wear a respirator while spraying and cleaning. Modeling paints and thinners are often flammable, so work away from open flames.

FAQ

It is a very fine nozzle for detail work: thin lines, shading and soft camouflage transitions. For large areas a wider nozzle is more practical.

No, the airbrush alone is supplied. A compressor, paints, thinner and cleaner all have to be bought separately.

Modeling paints thinned to a thin consistency. Thick unthinned paint clogs a fine nozzle.
