An airfield tow bar for the MiG-21 in 1:32 scale is a 3D printed accessory from Temp Models. It is not a model of the aircraft but ground support equipment for an airfield scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings a 3D printed airfield tow bar for the MiG-21 in 1:32 scale from Temp Models. It is not a model of the aircraft but a piece of ground equipment: one end of the bar latches onto the nose landing gear leg and the other onto the coupling of the airfield tug that moves the aircraft around the parking apron. The shape of the attachment differs for each type, and it is exactly that difference the set captures.
The MiG-21 is a light single-engine fighter with a delta wing and a circular air intake with a movable center cone. It took shape from the mid-1950s and in dozens of versions became the most widely used supersonic combat aircraft in history; it served with the Czechoslovak Air Force as well. Handling it on the ground was done with a tow bar on the nose leg.
The parts are printed from resin and are held only by thin supports. Cut them off with a sharp scalpel as close to the part as possible, sand the marks down with fine sandpaper and protect your airways while sanding. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint holds longer on a smooth print if you lay a thin coat of primer under it. Ground equipment is brought to life by a dark wash run into the recesses and by drybrushing on the edges.
The set is an addition to building a model, not a model in its own right. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
