A set of ATOM acrylic paints from AMMO with shades for the cockpit interiors of the aircraft of the Regia Aeronautica. Water-based paints for brush and airbrush.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Regia Aeronautica was the Italian royal air force, and it existed under that name until 1946. The colors of its cockpits were not uniform: they differed according to the maker of the airframe and according to the period, so two Italian machines of the same time can have interiors in different tones. The set is therefore put together around the shades you meet most often in Italian cockpits.
Water-based acrylic paints of the ATOM line, aimed at the interior. They are thinned with water or an acrylic thinner, they mix with each other and they are applied with a brush as well as with an airbrush. Which shade belongs in a particular cockpit should be checked in the instructions of the kit or in the documentation for the machine.
Paint the cockpit before you glue the fuselage halves together, as after that you will not reach into it. Work from the base tone through a dark accent in the shadows to drybrushing on the edges; that brings out the relief of the instrument panel and of the structure. Do details such as levers, dials and belts at the end with a fine brush. Do not lighten the interior excessively, as it will darken under a closed canopy anyway. Thin the paint gradually and apply it in thin layers, as a thick deposit fills the fine cast detail.
For the modeler who builds Italian aircraft and wants the cockpit shades together instead of hunting down individual bottles. The package holds the paints only; a model, photo-etched belts, decals, thinner and brushes are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
