A kit of the American M24 Chaffee light tank in a cartoon styling. The parts snap together and no glue is needed.
Responsibility details are not available.
The M24 Chaffee is an American light tank from the end of the Second World War. Compared with the earlier light tanks it received substantially heavier armament, a 75 mm gun, while keeping a low weight and decent mobility. It is precisely this balance of armor, speed and firepower that made it one of the most successful light tanks of its day. The name Chaffee is that of the American general who stood at the birth of his country's armored forces.
A kit in a cartoon styling. The hull is shortened against the real subject and the proportions are deliberately exaggerated, but the recognizable features of the tank are kept, so you spot the subject at first glance. The parts snap together and no glue is needed for it. Once assembled, the turret turns and the gun barrel can be raised and lowered, so the model is not just a figure for the display case. The exact extent of the set is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
It is a good first kit for children and an entry into modeling for an adult who does not want to start with a set of three hundred parts. The build is quick, it does without glue and the finished model stands up to being played with. For an experienced modeler it serves as light relief between two large projects or as the basis for a humorous diorama. You do not have to paint the model, but painted and lightly highlighted it looks considerably better; use paints for plastic models and lay them on in thin coats.
Paints and modeling tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
