A set of ATOM acrylic paints from AMMO with the shades of Argentine equipment, listed as the first volume. Water-based paints for the brush and for the airbrush.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of acrylic paints from the ATOM range by AMMO of Mig Jimenez, put together around the shades used on Argentine equipment. It is listed as the first volume of the theme, with further volumes following on, so take it as the basis of a palette rather than as a complete survey. The shades are chosen for one national theme, which saves hunting down individual bottles one at a time.
These are water-based acrylics. They thin with water or with acrylic thinner, mix with one another and go on with a brush as well as with an airbrush. The set makes sense even if you use a single shade out of it, because the rest stays in the palette for the next build.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before work, because the pigment settles at the bottom and the first stroke will otherwise come out weaker than the rest of the area. Thin gradually and apply several thin coats, since a heavy application fills in fine surface detail. Try the shade out on a piece of plastic, because it looks different over a large area than it does in the bottle. Even the color out with a coat of primer, so that the difference between plastic and filler does not show up only in the last coat. Close the bottles carefully and clean their threads, because dried acrylic is then hard to open.
For the modeler who builds Argentine equipment and wants the shades in one place. The package contains the paints only; the model, decals, thinner and brushes are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
