A set of paints of the ATOM line put together for Sherman tanks in the service of Commonwealth countries in the Second World War, volume one.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Sherman is an American medium tank of the Second World War. It was built in enormous numbers and was also supplied on a large scale to the units of Commonwealth countries, which introduced it alongside their own vehicles and modified it to suit themselves. The finishes of these vehicles differed from the American machines, because they followed different regulations and came about in different workshops and in a different environment. It is exactly this group that the set is aimed at.
A set of paints of the ATOM line, put together as the first volume aimed at Sherman tanks in Commonwealth service in the Second World War. The point of such a selection is that the shades are chosen to go together: you do not have to assemble them bottle by bottle from various lines and check whether they harmonize and whether they behave the same when thinned. The exact composition of the set, that is the number and designation of the shades, is given by the manufacturer on the packaging.
Stir the paint thoroughly before use, and shake it too in bottles with a mixing ball. Use the thinner intended for this line and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging. Apply in thin coats and let each one set; a single heavy pass covers less well and drowns the fine relief of the surface. The finish holds best on a smooth, degreased base, and on large areas a base coat proves its worth. Always try a sample of the shade on a piece of scrap, not straight on the model.
The kit, brushes, thinner and other aids are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
