Aber brass tubes, outside diameter 1.3 mm, wall thickness 0.2 mm, length 245 mm (4 pieces) are a precise stock material for modeling conversions and for building brass details.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of four drawn brass tubes with an outside diameter of 1.3 mm and a wall thickness of 0.2 mm (the inside diameter is therefore roughly 0.9 mm). Each tube is 245 mm long. It is not a kit or a part for a particular model but a universal stock material that comes in handy whenever you need a strong, precise and hollow section.
Brass is used in modeling where plastic is not enough. Tubes of this diameter are used for gun barrels and muzzles, aerials, exhausts, hydraulic and fuel lines, handrails, masts, railings and pivots for moving parts. The hollow section makes it easy to join thinner wire and tubes of smaller diameter, so telescopic parts can be built up as well. The material cuts, solders and glues well and holds its shape far better than stretched plastic.
Cut the tubes with a sharp snap-off knife while rotating them slowly, or with a fine saw, so that the end does not flatten; true up the edge with a needle file. Degrease the brass before gluing and roughen the surface slightly for better adhesion. Brass-to-brass joints are strongest when soldered; otherwise use super glue (cyanoacrylate) or two-part epoxy resin. For painting, apply a primer suitable for metals.
This is stock material, not a finished part. Glue, paints and tools are not included in the package.
