A Vallejo acrylic model paint in the shade designated Canvas, shade number 763. Applied in thin coats with a brush.
Responsibility details are not available.
A water-based acrylic model paint by Vallejo. The shade carries the designation Canvas and the number 763, which the manufacturer's own designation carries as well, so the item can be told apart safely from similarly named shades. Shades derived from fabrics tend to be subdued and look different on a model than they do in the bottle, so compare the final tone against the manufacturer's color chart before you begin work, or try it out on an offcut.
Shake the paint before use, as the pigment settles while standing. Apply it in thin coats and let each one dry; one heavy coat will cover the fine relief of the surface and leave the marks of the brush. It thins with water or with a thinner for acrylic paints, added in small amounts until the paint runs freely off the bristle. On an evened-out ground acrylic paint holds considerably better than on bare plastic.
For longer sessions a wet palette pays off, as the paint does not dry on it and can be mixed to the same tone repeatedly. Mix transitions by gradually adding a lighter or darker shade, not by going over a fresh coat. When you have finished, protect the paint with varnish, because an unprotected acrylic surface is rubbed off during handling. Rinse the brush out straight after work, as dried paint is hard to remove from the bristles.
The package contains the paint on its own. The model, brushes, thinner and varnish are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
