Corner Module

The corner that holds the bench together

A modeling work corner grows gradually. First a couple of bottles at hand, then a stand for the paints, in time a row of compartments for files, sanding sponges and glues. Modular stands answer this situation by the fact that they can be extended piece by piece, and the corner module is precisely the element that allows the assembly to be bent into a right angle and the room in the corner of the bench top to be used.

The plan has the shape of a square with a side of twenty-seven centimeters and the height comes to eleven centimeters. Standing at the edge of a bench it therefore takes up no more than the format of a larger notebook, and at the same time it offers a surface to put things down where dead space would otherwise be left. The assembly can be complemented with further pieces of the same range, among them a front module with the same construction.

Before you set it up

Think out which way the assembly will be bent, because the corner piece determines the direction of the whole row of modules, and rearranging it later means reorganizing all the bottles. It pays to lay the stand out according to which hand you work with, so that the most frequently used paints stay within reach without turning your body.

An arrangement that lasts

Keeping the bottles in order by shade rather than by product range proves itself. You look for a paint with your eye, after all, and you find a shade faster than a number on a cap. It is also good to place the assembly so that direct sun does not shine on it, because light changes the perception of tones and faded labels are then hard to read.

This is equipment for a workplace, not a kit. Paints, hardware and tools are not in the delivery.
