Decal Adhesive (Softener Type)

Tamiya Decal Adhesive (Softener Type)

A product from Tamiya that combines the function of a decal adhesive and a decal softener. It is intended above all for older or non-adhering decals whose own adhesive layer no longer holds. It increases their adhesion to the surface and at the same time softens the decal, so that it conforms better to the shape of the part and settles even onto more broken-up areas. It is applied with a fine brush. The package contains 10 ml.

Use

• Brush a thin layer onto the place where the decal will sit, or onto the back of the decal.
• Lay the decal on and press it gently; carefully work excess liquid and air bubbles out toward the edge.
• Especially suitable for old decals whose original adhesive no longer holds, and for settling onto broken-up surfaces.
• Handle a softened decal carefully until the product has dried, as at that moment the decal is prone to tearing.
• Let it dry thoroughly, and only then apply a clear coat or continue with weathering.

Who it is for

For modelers who need to stick older or non-adhering decals down reliably and to get them to settle perfectly on the surface of the model.

Keep out of the reach of children and work in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with the eyes.
