A decal sheet with black dashed lines for the road markings of a diorama.
Responsibility details are not available.
On a diorama with a road, the markings are what the eye notices before the equipment. Painting a straight dashed line with a brush, though, is work that forgives little: the slightest hesitation and the line ripples. The sheet carries dashed lines in a black rendition, so all that is needed is to transfer them onto a finished surface. Black suits light concrete, the markings of parking lots, halls and industrial yards, where a white paint has no contrast.
These are waterslide decals. Cut off a section of line of the length you need, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until the film starts to move on the backing paper. Go over the surface of the road with a gloss varnish beforehand, otherwise air will be trapped under the decal and the edges will silver. Slide the decal into place, line it up against a ruler or against a taut thread and soak the surplus water up with a soft paper. A decal softener will settle the film into the texture of the surface, so that the line does not look like a stuck-on strip. Once it has dried, go over the area with a matte varnish and only then carry on with the dusting and the other traces of use; fresh markings without them look out of place on an old road.
For builders of dioramas with a road, a parking lot or a hall in any scale. The width and the length of the lines are fixed on the sheet, so compare them with the scale of your scene before buying. A base, paints, varnish and a softener are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
