Do 217J exhausts (1:48) are a resin (3D-printed) detail set of hollow exhaust stacks for models of the German Dornier Do 217J night fighter. The set is intended for the ICM kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
An aftermarket detail set for models of the German Dornier Do 217J night fighter in 1:48 scale. These are resin (3D-printed) exhaust stacks with realistically hollow openings that replace the solid plastic exhausts from the base kit. The result is a markedly more faithful look to the engine nacelles. It is based on the dimensions of the ICM kit.
The Do 217J was the night fighter and intruder version of the Dornier Do 217 bomber, used by the Luftwaffe in the Second World War. The heavily armed twin-engined aircraft served in the night defense, and its exhaust systems are a prominent detail on a model.
Separate the parts carefully from the print supports, wash off any residue and clean them up. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Before gluing, check the fit into the nacelles; small adjustments are made by sanding with respiratory protection. The hollow openings come out once a dark wash is applied and the edges lightly picked out.
This is an accessory, not an aircraft kit. The base ICM kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
