A set of two modeling paints from the DUAL EXO line, pair number 21: the light silver 21A and the dark shade 21B under the name Gun Metal.
Responsibility details are not available.
A pair of shades from the DUAL EXO line, which is built around pairs: each carries a number and two variants under it, here 21A Silver and 21B Gun Metal. The first is a light silver, the second a dark gray shade with a metallic look of the kind used on weapons and machinery.
Two related tones side by side mean you can work with light and shade without mixing. You lay the darker shade over the whole area as a base and then pull out the edges, rivets and places where the surface would rub with the lighter one. It finds a use on exhausts and weapons, on bare metal where the paint has worn through, and on science fiction vehicles and figure armor, where a metallic look is used a great deal.
Paints with a metallic look have a coarser pigment than ordinary shades, so shake them well before use and stir them again from time to time while spraying. Apply thin coats on a smooth base; on a rough ground the pigment settles unevenly and the area looks dusty. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging. Bear in mind that a matte varnish suppresses the metallic sheen, so think twice about varnishing and rather try it first on a piece of scrap plastic. Clean the brushes right after work; dried pigment cannot be got out of the bristles and would leave grains in the surface next time.
The pair of paints is supplied. Brushes, thinner and varnish are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
