About product

Early WW2 Royal AF (1940-41), Hataka Orange Line

A set of modeling paints of the Hataka Orange Line range aimed at the Royal Air Force (RAF) of the years 1940 to 1941. These are lacquers (acrylic lacquer) optimized for spraying with an airbrush, matched in one package for the early scheme of British aircraft of the Battle of Britain period.

Chemistry and use

The paints are lacquer-based, so they are thinned with the lacquer thinner recommended by the manufacturer (Hataka Orange Line thinner), not with water. They are applied mainly with an airbrush in thin coats, cover well and dry quickly to a semi-matte or matte surface suitable under decals and weathering.

Use

  • Mix the paint thoroughly before use.
  • Thin it with the lacquer thinner of the same range, not with water.
  • Spray it in several thin coats; work in a well-ventilated space.
  • Suitable for plastic as well as for a primed surface.

Who it is for

For modelers building British aircraft from the start of the Second World War who will appreciate matched shades in one package and work with an airbrush.

The paints are flammable. Use them in a well-ventilated space, away from an open flame. The thinner and the airbrush are not included in the package.
