Humbrol Enamel Thinners - a thinner for enamel paints

A thinner (solvent) from the British brand Humbrol intended for its enamel (synthetic) modeling paints. It serves two purposes: thinning paint to the right consistency for application by brush or airbrush, and cleaning brushes, airbrushes and tools after painting with enamel. It is not a paint or a kit - it is an auxiliary chemical. Enamel paints are solvent-based, not water-thinnable, which is why they are thinned with exactly this thinner, not with water. Do not confuse it with lacquer (cellulose) thinner either, which has a different chemical composition.

Use

• For the brush, add a small amount of thinner to the paint so that it flows better and leaves a smoother surface.
• For the airbrush, thin the paint to a lighter consistency; tune the ratio to your nozzle and pressure with a test spray.
• After painting, use it to flush and clean brushes, the airbrush and mixing cups.
• Add the thinner gradually and keep stirring - over-thinned paint loses its covering power.
